Suspension of procurement department will not affect drug supply – MoH

MINISTRY of Health Permanent Secretary for Technical Services Dr Luckson Kasonka says Cabinet office has advised his Ministry to use alternative modalities to procure drugs in the country. On Friday, December 3, 2021, the entire Ministry of Health Procurement Department was closed and put on suspension pending investigations by a joint task force. In an interview, Dr Kasonka confirmed that the department was still closed, but added that no matter how long it took, investigative wings needed to do a thorough job.
