Uncle sues State over nephew’s death from police shooting

THE uncle of a grade 10 pupil who was killed by live ammunition fired by a Zambia Police officer in Zambezi district last year, has sued the State demanding damages for loss of expectation of life. Obby Kanjela, who is suing as next friend of the child, is demanding among other claims, damages for pain and suffering caused by the permanent deprivation of life by the negligent and reckless killing of an innocent minor on February 26, 2020.
