CONSTITUTIONAL Lawyer John Sangwa has submitted to the Constitutional Court that the 16 presidential running mates are not eligible to stand for election to the office of Vice-President. And Sangwa has told the Court that if there are any exceptions on the nomination requirements for running mates, that has to come from the Constitution and not a returning officer or ECZ official. He has argued that this is because the 16 presidential running mates have not complied with the Constitution by failing to pay nomination fees and providing 100 supporters from each of the 10 provinces.
