LUSAKA businessman Valden Findlay has denied owing the Development Bank of Zambia (DBZ) over US$1.9 million and being in default, saying his company, Chrismar Hotel Limited, has been making payments in relation to the loan facility. Findlay has submitted that Chrismar Hotel Limited is not in breach of the long term loan facility entered into between the parties, as it has continued to make payments to the bank, which payments have to date amounted to US$1,640,566.74. This is a matter in which DBZ sued Chrismar Hotel Limited, Harry Valden Findlay and Lydia Findlay Peters in the Lusaka High Court commercial division.
