Travellers without proof of Covid-19 negative status won’t be allowed in Zambia – MoH

MINISTRY of Health permanent secretary for technical services Dr Kennedy Malama says travellers without proof of SARS-CoV-2 negative status will not be allowed into the country. And Dr Malama says in the last 24 hours, the country has reported 24 new confirmed cases of COVID-19 out of 2,988 tests conducted. In a statement, Monday, Dr Malama said the country was conducting “genomic sequencing” as part of routine surveillance to identify variants of concern. “As a country we continue conducting heightened surveillance and contact tracing at all points-of-entry, hospitals and communities.
