Chingola ‘shooting’ was an assassination attempt, says Milupi as police rubbish claim

UPND alliance chairperson has described the shooting incident that happened in Chingola as an assassination attempt on its president Hakainde Hichilema. But police spokesperson Esther Katongo has refuted claims that police on the Copperbelt Province fired live ammunition at UPND president Hakainde Hichilema and his entourage. Addressing the media, Sunday, Milupi said it was unfortunate that HH was ill-treated despite heeding to the directive of door-to-door campaigns following suspension of rallies. “It was reported to us that HH was surrounded by the Zambia police.
