ZMA supports the administering of COVID-19 booster vaccines

ZAMBIA Medical Association (ZMA) president Dr Crispin Moyo says government’s decision to start administering COVID-19 booster vaccines is a step in the right direction in the fight against the pandemic. In an interview, Dr Moyo said the COVID-19 booster vaccines would enhance additional protection against COVID-19. “From the Zambia Medical Association’s point of view we have actually been pushing for a booster, for the reason that the people who got the vaccine, the majority who are willing to take the vaccine, we know that over time the circulating antibodies tend to reduce, therefore putting even those people who were vaccinated to be at some risk.
