There’s plenty of illicit money in people’s houses, but there’s no strategy to collect it

POLICE in Lusaka say they are investigating a case in which a very senior lawyer going by the name Mutemwa Mutemwa State Counsel and a police officer are on the run after stealing US$800,000 (about K14 million) which was entrusted to them by a client to secure while police conducted a search. In a statement, Hamoonga stated that Mutemwa, his son and detective inspector Mano Kayombo of Lusaka Central police station were alleged to have stolen the said money on October 19.
